Connor, the cutest boy in history (my nephew), turned 2 years old last week. My sister (his 'mamma') asked me to make a Nemo cake for his birthday party. I think she requested Nemo partly because Connor likes Nemo, but partly because my sister wanted me to try something new.
I made the cakes at my house, but put it all together at my parents house the morning of the party. My mom of course helped - as she cleaned up after my mess and gave me advice. My dad also watched over the decorating and passed along some advice. Josh drew the outline of the colors as well as the fin. So, it was a family affair!
Only about 2 hours after I had finished this masterpiece, I was cutting it apart to serve! But, what I will always remember is the way Connor looked at it in awe and stuck his cute little finger in it. Multiple times.
